Instrumentation as a Service
Hourly access fees instead of expensive equipment purchases
The Testbeds features over 60 state-of-the-art tools specifically selected to enable innovative device development. We’ve set-up these instruments in the ideal prototyping environment. Simply register, complete safety training, schedule usage, and go. You pay for the time you use the machine.
Remote User Program
Have our team execute your R & D
The remote user program is designed for researchers that cannot easily visit our lab. In those instances, let our scientists help move you forward. We’ll work with you to shape a workplan that helps your team get where it needs to go. From device fabrication, to materials characterization, to the detailed programming necessary for electrical testing within a simulated grid, our staff can help you accelerate your product development plan.
Per Sample Analysis
The Washington Clean Energy Testbeds offers a variety of materials characterizations services on a per sample basis.
Measurements and tests are performed by our trained professional staff to provide the fastest route to valuable results on your samples. Simply send an inquiry, ship your samples, and receive the data.
Industry Workshops
A more intensive, programmatic approach to process development
Translating concepts from bench scale to manufacture often means transitioning device production to tools and processes that are better suited to scale. If your company finds itself in a position where the right tools for scaling aren’t immediately familiar, our team may be able to help.
The Testbeds can work with you to craft a workshop agenda that will provide you and your team members hands-on training on the series of tools best suited to your needs. Ranging in duration from one to three days, our workshops provide a hands-on learning opportunity on our instrumentation while utilizing your proprietary materials and device structures.
SBIR/STTR & Grant Support
Helping you obtain non-dilutive funding to fuel your R&D
The federal government’s Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs are some of the best technology development dollars a team can obtain. Our lab’s team has accumulated decades of experience supporting start-ups through this process and our host University will provide you a wealth of public and private sector subject matter expertise.
The Testbeds offer an array of R&D and small business support programs. Visit our programs page to learn more.
